Molly inspired many and lived her life to the fullest. In her honor, her former high school in Lexington, MA, holds a Volleyball tournament to remember their former captain and “gutsiest” player.
Last year, “Volley for Molly” was a huge success, and this year everyone is extremely excited for the tournament. On September 24th from 4:00 pm to 9:30 pm at Lexington High School, the second annual tournament will be held. Molly’s former Varsity volleyball team will face Reading Memorial High School in a competitive match with an important purpose.
Ovarian cancer is the deadliest of all gynecological cancers and among American women; it is the fifth leading cause of death. Early detection of the disease can increase survival rate, but it can strike a woman at any stage in her life. Spreading awareness and raising money for the cure is an important part of the fight against the killer disease. Please join Ovations for the Cure of Ovarian Cancer during Ovarian Cancer Awareness Month in remembering Molly Eisenberg and her courageous fight against ovarian cancer on September 24th.

The Northeastern Society of Orthodontists is a constituent of the American Association of Orthodontists serving the Northeastern United States and Eastern Canadian Provinces. The group meets once a year and in November 2010, NESO is holding their annual get-together in picturesque Montreal. The meeting will feature a lineup of world-renowned experts from the field of orthodontics that will prove to be an intruiging weekend benefiting and inspiring all who are attending. With the help of their designated speakers, NESO strives to provide an educational forum with a means to discuss the art of orthodontics, sponsor research and to maintain a level of excellence within the field itself.
Sabre recently had the distinct pleasure of providing NESO with event promotion services, and creating a high-impact video that highlights the European romance and exotic aspects of Montreal. The video will be featured on the NESO website and will also be shown at future meetings to promote and boost attendance at the 2010 event. In the past, Sabre branded NESO’s 2008 event in Providence, RI by creating a promotional video, including an on-location shoot with a message from the acting President of the organization, as well as signage and collateral materials for the event.
Looking forward, Sabre is working full force on the branding and promotional video and materials for the 2011 event to be held in Boston, MA at the Marriott Copley Hotel. The video materials for the Boston meeting will highlight the modern aspects of Boston as well as create a new approach to opening the event to other areas of dental practice. Sabre is proud of our solid partnership with NESO and looks forward to working with them on many exciting projects in the future.

When most people think of the Vietnam War, the first thing that comes to mind is usually not the women who fought in the war. Typically, people remember the highly controversial combat in Vietnam and the polished black granite memorial that has immortalized the names of those who lost their lives. What people don’t think of is the 265,000 women who served in the US armed forces during the Vietnam War and the nearly 10,000 women who served in-country during the conflict. The Vietnam Women’s Memorial Foundation was established to honor the women who served as well as their families who lost their loved ones to the war. The women who served were primarily nurses but saw all aspects of battle from the hospitals to the field. They gave comfort and aid to the soldiers bravely fighting for our country.
The Vietnam Women’s Memorial Foundation is a non-profit established in 1984 and located in Washington, D.C. Their goal is to find the civilian and military women who served in the war, and to educate people about their role in giving their lives and efforts in Vietnam. The foundation itself has gained the respect and support of every major Vietnam Veterans group in the country as they work in common goal to remember and raise funds for the psychological, physical and sociological factors associated with those who served.
On November 11th 1993, The Vietnam Women’s Memorial was dedicated in Washington, D.C. Sculpted by New Mexico artist, Glenna Goodacre, the memorial is the result of a ten-year effort to immortalize, celebrate and remember the women who served in the war. The bronze sculpture sits in the National Mall, a short distance south from the Vietnam Veterans Memorial and north of the reflecting pool. Visitors come each year to see the Veterans Memorial and now the Women’s Memorial as well, both honoring the brave soldiers who died in service of our nation.
Sabre Imagery had the pleasure of designing the website for the Vietnam Women’s Memorial Foundation, in an effort to reach a wider audience and spread their message to the global community. For more information on the foundation or to make a donation, please visit their website.

Here at Sabre, we create both print and electronic media for our clients, as there are pros and cons to both forms of media. However, we know that it is vital that we are able to provide both, as they clearly rely on each other to achieve our client’s advertising and marketing goals.

As we continue deeper into a technology driven society, the question of whether print media will be able to keep up with electronic media is immediate. Print media has been around for centuries, but electronic media has recently completely changed the way that we communicate. However, we aren’t sure if it is a question of which serves the public better, or which will be able to outlive the other.

Electronic media is fast, fairly simple, and involves hardly any resources. Sometimes, however, in the maze of the technological world, things can be lost or deleted, and without a hard copy, are never to be found again. Print media, on the other hand, uses lots of resources, but is less complicated and much more straightforward than electronic media. Print media has millions of loyal customers and is familiar to all generations as a reliable way of storing as well as spreading information. Just like electronic media, print media can get lost and without a second copy, the printed information is lost.

When it comes to advertising and marketing using print and electronic media, the return rates and price comparisons end up determining which one can benefit a company more. In online banner ads, the click through rate is between 0.3% and 0.5%, meaning that 3 to 5 people in every thousand click through to view the rest of the ad. Direct mail on the other hand, has a 1%-3% return rate, and email ads have a 5-15% response rate. Depending on the demographic targeted by the product, print and electronic media both have their advantages. Each one is specifically tailored to a certain type of customer whose media habits are reflected in their responses to different types of advertising.

The combination of the two seems to be how we have mediated the issue for the time being. Having an electronic copy, and a hard copy ensures that through anything, your information will be safe. It also targets consumers who utilize the Internet as well as those who are more likely to be attracted to print ads. With the advantages of speed in electronic media and the familiarity of print media, will either one of them ever die? Could we live with just one? Mass media and communication rely so heavily on both forms, that it seems impossible for one to survive without the other.

Stonybrook Golf Course

Stonybrook Golf Course

Have you ever found that perfect place you like to retreat to? And, it’s perfect because not many other people know about it. Sorry to say, but we at Sabre make it our job to make sure everyone knows about it!
Sabre is pleased to be working with Stonybrook Golf Course, located in picturesque Southborough, MA. The course is a 9-hole, par-3 design, making it ideal for both experienced and novice golfers. There is less walking on a 9-hole course and smaller distances between holes so a golfer can perfect their shots on a shorter distance than an 18-hole course. This can help novice golfers to build confidence and experienced golfers to improve their short-range shots.
Stonybrook came to Sabre for help with a variety of marketing needs. From direct mailings and e-mail blasts to a whole new look and feel, we are looking forward to diving in and helping Stonybrook to rebrand their business.
Stonybrook is located at 70 Valley Road in Southborough, MA just off of Route 30. No tee times are required for the course as Stonybrook strives to create a non-intimidating, family-friendly course. Whether you are an experienced golfer, a first timer or a family looking to have a good time, Stonybrook is ready and waiting for you to tee off!

rri_handshakeAs a graphics and web design company, it is often our job to deliver immense volumes of information that is simple for the end-user to follow and easy to find. Since 1985, we have been put to this task by many clients and using nearly all forms of media – video, film, interactive kiosks, brochures, printed catalogs and annual reports. Now, and for over a decade, we have become accustomed to more information delivery on the web than any other method, utilizing complex architectures, client controlled content management systems (CMS) and custom database driven website applications.

Sabre Imagery, Inc., has had the pleasure of maintaining long-lasting relationships with our clients. While a number of our clients often come back to us year-after-year to develop a new advertising, collateral or marketing campaign, we find many come back to give their website a “face lift”, which many sites need every couple of years. These face lifts are often necessary to update branding, to be more compatible with the latest browsers, or to just keep up with the ever-changing technology of the worldwide web. Often times, a company simply outgrows their site because there is more information than the original website architecture can support.rri_bakery

One of our clients, Reiser, a leading international supplier of processing and packaging equipment for the food industry, came back to Sabre to redesign and update their website which we first developed for them in 2003. Our client wanted to increase their online product catalog with an expandable architecture for future additions. Reiser offers dozens of products with an infinite number of solutions to service most areas of the food processing industry. To demonstrate their capabilities, they rely on a vast video library detailing their custom solutions and wanted this available to all online visitors.

Sabre developed a custom website solution that has an expandable architecture and includes more than 90 online product catalog pages, all with supporting sub-pages, download-able brochures and specification sheets, and an extensive library of over 130 high-quality streaming videos. With the new design, users can reach any product or feature within the site with as little as three simple clicks of the navigation.

With the new technologies now available, it is much easier to create a website that is a virtual warehouse of information that is simple for even the client to manage, update and expand. There are more open source CMS options (i.e., WordPress, Joomla, Drupal), web hosting solutions and reliable technologies readily available that are making complex websites more attainable and cost effective for our clients.
